Yesterdays Spider boom lift hire was a challenge, we needed to bring in a 25m spider boom lift with a narrow jacking option to be able to setup in this narrow walk way at a retirement village in Wheelers hill. Using the 25m
lift we were able to reach up to 12m each way along the building at over 12 metres high from one setup meaning we could reach 36 windows by only moving the lift once. This greatly reduced the potential damage done the garden areas. We only had 2850 between the wall of the building and a 1 metre high retaining wall, this tight space was too narrow for a smaller spider boom with fixed leg positions but perfect for a larger spider boom lift with multiple position legs which were long enough to reach up onto the top of the retaining wall without touching it. Our experienced operator Alf was able to drive the large spider boom lift into position quickly and with no damage to the gardens narrow paths or buildings.
